RF Test/Repair Technician
RF Test/Repair Technician JM Test Systems has an opening in its Alexandria, LA calibration and repair laboratory for an experienced repair and calibration technician. Position Summary The ideal candidate will be able to perform routine and complex work related to the repair and calibration of electronic test and measurement equipment. Perform calibration procedures and measurements for use on customer equipment in compliance with requirements. Experience in Quality audits and uncertainty measurement calculation a plus.
Position Requirements
- Formal advanced training in Metrology/Electronics (Military PMEL/TMDE/DoD training preferred)
- A minimum of 5 years calibration and/or repair experience
- RF/Microwave experience preferred
- Experience inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and calibrating General/RF Test
and Measurement Equipment. Strong circuit theory is required with established troubleshooting techniques and testing methods to component level - Ability to repair and calibrate a wide variety of complex precision measurement equipment. Repairs may include items such as RF signal generators, RF attenuators, spectrum analyzers, communication test sets, RF power meters, Oscilloscopes, waveguide and coaxial directional couplers
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Must have good communication skills both verbal and written
- Must have excellent attention to detail
- Experience with Automated Test Stations and calibration software covering multiple platforms is a plus (HP Basic, Metcal, Microsoft Basic, NI Labview,etc.)
- Previous experience working under an ISO9001 and/or ISO 17025 quality assurance program desired
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, email)
- Basic Electronics and Computer Skills (ASQ CCT recommended)
- AS degree in an electronics discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimal travel required

Calibration Technician
Local calibration lab looking for experienced calibration/repair technicians to work on measurement test equipment. Ability to read schematics, perform repairs to component level, technical school or military a plus! Job may require some travel. ISO 9001 certified and A2LA accredited lab. Work environment is a lab atmosphere. We will consider entry level also with electro-mechanical abilities. Competitive wage based on experience and training with three reviews in 1st year. Hours: 7am-3:30 pm Monday - Friday, every 3rd week -work (4) 10 hour days and have Friday off. 17 long weekends a year!
